Part 1 of 3 (or 4)!

As a guy with the history of coding, I have always been against plugging in too many Drupal modules. To my perspective adding hundreds of lines of code to enable a certain function that I can do with a few lines of code in a custom module seemed needless. Until a week or so ago I would search for the perfect module for my use case, never finding one just right, I would get most of the way there, then write a few lines code to get the functionality. Sometimes I would even borrow the code from another module which I considered over kill.

Responsive design in Drupal Gardens.

I’ve been learning to love Drupal Gardens for its ability to extend Drupal to the entry level web content and site developers. However, as someone who is used to being able to modify anything and everything in Drupal, Gardens can feel restrictive. The burdens placed on Gardens to be user friendly and scalable to everyone can be limited when your first introduced to the concept. But, I was able to find some interesting work arounds (otherwise known as hacks) to make Gardens do more then the out of the box Saas product is advertised.

First Day Jitters

Bang! And they're off! 

First day jitters don't really last long here, 'cause Jacob and Kay don't really give you a chance. We walked into a 5 minute partnered mensa challenge. When was the last time you showed up on Monday morning for that? I'm going to ask the other participants for their one word description of today ... here goes:

fun thorough circle-y going exceptional creative interesting crazy

And that pretty much seems what its like working here.
